Line dedupe

Paste a list, remove duplicate lines — first occurrence order is always preserved.

Case folding follows each language’s own rules (e.g. Turkish I/ı/İ/i), not a blanket lowercasing.

How to use

  1. Paste your list into the box above, one item per line.
  2. By default, matching is case-sensitive: “Apple” and “apple” are treated as different.
  3. Enable “Ignore letter case” to fold case when comparing, then dedupe and copy the result.

Example

Input

apple
Banana
apple
APPLE
Banana

Output

apple
Banana
APPLE

Case-sensitive by default: “apple”, “APPLE” and “Banana” duplicates were removed, keeping the first of each.

Scope and common mistakes

  • Lines are compared after trimming leading/trailing whitespace on each line; empty lines are kept as-is (use the text cleaner to remove them first).
  • First-occurrence order is always preserved — lines are never sorted.
  • “Ignore letter case” folds case per language rules; it does not normalize accents or Unicode forms (é ≠ e).
  • Emoji and combined characters are compared as whole characters, not by code points.
